Rocket French
What is the best way to learn French? There are a variety of ways. You could go to France, you could take a local college class, you could use software or a program to learn French. In many situations that is the easiest to work into your life. I particularly like Rocket French.
What is Rocket French?
This is an interactive audio course with 33 lessons. One of the reasons I like the Rocket Languages programs is that an audio course is easy to work into your time. You can listen to it as you do other things. I listen a lot when I walk, and I walk for exercise a LOT!
The Rocket French Premium Package isn’t just the audio lessons. Here is a comprehensive list of what it contains:
- Those 33 lessons I just mentioned, which average about 24 minutes long.
- 31 grammar and culture lessons
- A “MegaVocab” software game to help you remember vocabulary. If the over one thousand words it comes with are not enough, you can also add your own words — with pictures too.
- A “MegaAudio” software game, to easily train your ear to recognize over a thousand words when you hear them.
- A “MegaVerbs” software game, most useful for intermediate and advanced students, to help you get all those tricky conjugations right. (Wish I had had this back in high school!)
- A forum and learning lounge where you can get questions answered. This is like having a teacher you can ask anytime, without having to pay the high costs usually associated with this convenience.
If Rocket French sounds interesting, take a look at their long and informative webpage: Rocket French. It will give you a much better sense of what the program is like, complete with comments from people who took the course, sample lessons to listen to, and more. By the way, the downloadable version is definitely the better deal compared to the CD version, IF you are at home doing downloads.
